Destination Donegal With Celtic Horizon Tours

Time For Some Quality Social Distancing

CHT Donegal Tour

Destination Donegal - Three Days On The Road

Last month we introduced you to the idea of taking a few days out in the country. You know, get out on your bike, stretch your spiritual legs and all that. As we're travelling with Celtic Horizon Motorcycle Tours, we do expect a few of you to come along. It has, after all, been a long summer spent looking at our bikes instead of riding them. What has surprised us is just how many of you have opted to come along. We’re delighted to confirm that we’ll be using extra guides and riding out in small groups. This keeps us safer on the road as well as making the all important social distancing that little bit easier at fuel and food stops.

Our destination is Donegal, way up in the sunny northwest. The people and the food are up here are both friendly and exceptional. The roads, however, are second to none. Indeed they appear to have been made for motorcycling. We know that God rides a motorcycle because only She could carve roads like this out in places like these.

There will be plenty to do and see with some of the best mountain roads in the country as well as a whole load of stuff including stops at some iconic cultural sites and staying in one of the best hotels in the county.

Destination Donegal - Beautiful Coastal Rides

When we get there we’ll be staying in the Mount Errigal Hotel in Letterkenny. The team at the hotel have been providing guests with superior accommodation and service for years. The rooms are well appointed and the hotel has full leisure facilities consisting of a 20-metre swimming pool, a sauna and a jacuzzi as well as a fully equipped gym.

This will be our base for the three nights as it’s the perfect location for riding out from on each day. We’ll enjoy some beautiful coastal rides with beaches you won’t belive as well as pass roads and mountains that will make you wonder why you ever thought about leaving the country to take a motorcycling holiday.

The price is based on the accommodation costs and, as such, it’ll run you €279 per person sharing in a double or twin room. There is a single room supplement of €99 if you’d prefer your own. The price includes breakfast each day and dinner in the hotel. The trip is more than pillion friendly if you’d like to bring yours along.
