Lindstrands, the Scandinavian motorcycle clothing company have introduced an all new all weather technology adventure jacket. The Transtrand is a highly functional two layer jacket. As with most of the companies kit, this one has been fitted with a Dryway inner membrane that is laminated, breathable as well as being wind and waterproof. The outer is woven from a 420D Hi Tenacity weave. This makes for a very robust piece of kit in the event of anything unfortunate happening to the wearer.
Rather cleverly that same material is doubled on both the shoulders and elbows and the whole thing is reassuringly CE certified to a more than satisfactory class AA. The protectors in both the elbows and shoulders are adjustable, as well as being CE certified to level 1 for protection. The fit and comfort are excellent. There are a set of air vents on the chest. These have been designed so that they can also be used as pockets. The comfort continues with an “Open-back” concept. This offers the wearer better ventilation. The Transtrand jacket can, of course, be supplemented with a back protector and there is a long connection zipper which allows the jacket to be secured to a pair of pants from the same range.
