Yamaha has now sold over 125,000 units since the MT-07 was first launched. This bike has, since then, held the number one position in the Hyper Naked sales class. This is no easy achievement for any manufacturer. However, having a suite of assets to offer the rider such as a torque-rich 690cc Cross Plane 2 engine, along with a compact and agile chassis married to real world all-round versatility, does make achieving the impossible just that bit easier. As a result of all of this the MT 07 is now one of Yamaha’s top-selling models. Fimnding your darkness has never been easier!
Now for the 2021 season the latest next-generation MT-07 gets distinctive new bodywork. This features twin winglet-type air intakes in addition to a compact new LED headlight. We really like the lamp, it projects a futuristic Y-shape face. This is the signature style for all the latest Hyper Naked models. Now the newly built and refined EU5-compliant engine rewards the rider with an even more linear response along with an even deeper exhaust note.
The bike also has a set of new, wider, aluminium taper handlebars. These give the rider easier turning as well as a more commanding riding position. The larger 298mm dual front discs deliver even stronger braking. The bike oozes top specification with details such as the inverted LCD instruments, compact LED indicators and the black control levers. This machine has got to be the best finished in its’ class.
These days Yamaha also carry a whole host of factory accessories for the bike. There are a choice of screens, crash protection options, tank bags and top cases with all the fitting kits. These include carriers and even backrests for the passenger. There are also pieces like billet bar end weights and oil caps, a paddock stand and a radiator cover. Yamaha even supply a set of rear sets and levers, both by Gilles, while there is also a sports exhaust on offer and even a set of grip pads for the tank. Yamaha has everything that you need to make your MT 07 one of a kind.
